NASA Mars Perseverance Rover: Historical Day for NASA February 18, 2021, Rover Will Land on Mars' Most Dangerous Surface

NASA Mars Perseverance Rover

Engineers at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory have confirmed that the Mars 2020 Perseverance mission is healthy and on target to touch down in Jezero Crater at around 3.55 pm EST on February 18 (February 19 at 2:25 AM IST).

About Mars Rover . .

"Perseverance is NASA's most ambitious Mars rover mission yet, focused scientifically on finding out whether there was ever any life on Mars in the past," Thomas Zurbuchen, Associate Administrator for the Science Mission Directorate at NASA, said in a statement on Tuesday.

Where we Watch this? ?

"To answer this question, the landing team will have its hands full getting us to Jezero Crater - the most challenging Martian terrain ever targeted for a landing."

People will be able to watch the drama of Perseverance's entry, descent, and landing (EDL) -- the riskiest portion of the rover's mission that some engineers call the "seven minutes of terror" -- live on NASA TV or NASA's YouTube Channel.

The commentary has already begun and the landing process will start at 3:38 PM EST tomorrow, (2:08 AM IST, February 19).

What research on Mars' Land?

NASA Mars Perseverance Rover

Jezero is a basin where scientists believe an ancient river flowed into a lake and deposited sediments in a fan shape known as a delta.

Scientists think the environment here was likely to have preserved signs of any life that gained a foothold billions of years ago -- but Jezero also has steep cliffs, sand dunes, and boulder fields.

Landing on Mars is difficult -- only about 50 per cent of all previous Mars landing attempts have succeeded -- and these geological features make it even more so.

What say team about it?

The Perseverance team is building on lessons from previous touchdowns and employing new technologies that enable the spacecraft to target its landing site more accurately and avoid hazards autonomously.

"The Perseverance team is putting the final touches on the complex choreography required to land in Jezero Crater," said Jennifer Trosper, Deputy Project Manager for the mission at JPL.

"No Mars landing is guaranteed, but we have been preparing a decade to put this rover's wheels down on the surface of Mars and get to work."

      UAE Mars Mission :

HOPE created history by sending first picture of Mars

HOPE created history by sending first picture of Mars, sunlight on one side and beautiful red planet in shadow on other side.

Hope Mars Space (HOPE) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has entered the orbit of Mars. Hope has recently sent a first picture of Mars. After the start of this mission, this picture has become the first of its kind in the history of UAE. That is, this picture is the first picture of Mars taken in the Arab Space Probe.

Prime Minister shared first picture of Mars.......

This photo of Mars has been shared by the Prime Minister of the UAE and the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on his Twitter account. In this picture, the Sun is visible at a distance of about 25,000 km from the surface of Mars.

On one side there is sunlight and on the other side Mars is in darkness...

In the picture you can see that Mars is under sunlight on one side and Mars is hidden in darkness on the other side which is a very interesting sight. At the same time, on the part of Mars where light is seen, the largest volcano of our solar system, Olympus Mons can be seen. Apart from this, three other volcanoes in which Ascarius Mons, Pavonis Mons, and Arasia Mons can also be seen.

     Three spacecraft sent to Mars....

Recently three spacecraft were sent to the planet Mars. Among them, UAE's Hope Mars Space became the first spacecraft to reach Mars earlier this month. Now Hope will study the orbit of Mars and the weather pattern of the planet. It will find out better information about our neighboring Red Planet and its weather conditions. Let us tell you that continuous evidence is being collected on the possibility of life on Mars.
